DSGN CLLCTV, in partnership with the Northside Business Association, created a new mural on the side of Hoffner Lodge to celebrate the annual Northside Rock’n’Roll Carnival and the creative, independent spirit that makes Northside such a unique neighborhood. It looks amazing!
The mural takes a playful approach to the history and energy of the carnival: every character in the mural is a dog. The scene features canine musicians, performers, festival-goers, and other familiar carnival characters, combining Northside’s love of music with its reputation as one of Cincinnati’s most dog-friendly neighborhoods.
The intricate details invite close inspection. Throughout the composition, you can find some Northside-specific Easter eggs and references to the carnival, the neighborhood, and its history.
Historic Hoffner Lodge at 4122 Hamilton Ave. is home to the Hoffner Pub, La Bamba, Tango Northside, and Joyride Comedy.
