Grant applications were due on March 16th for eligibility for 2026 funding through the Northside Community Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation (NCF/GCF).

The organization received 14 applications this year, all of the highest quality, and the board would have loved to fully fund all of the requests. Unfortunately the total requested vastly exceeded the amount that was available. GCF allocates the amount of money available each year from the endowment, while ensuring everybody that NCF will be around to help fund Northside-based nonprofits in perpetuity.

More than 25 Northside-based nonprofits have received funding from NCF. For a complete list of all 96 projects funded, now totaling almost $140,000 to date, please head to the NCF website.

This year, 6 of the applications were selected for funding.

NCF is pleased to once again provide funding to Northside Youth Soccer for scholarships for youth to play soccer ($2,500), Northside Greenspace for the stipend for a naturalist to lead walks in Parker Woods for Parker Woods Elementary students ($1,000), Caracole for marketing material for their Annual Christmas Tree Sale ($2,000), bicycle parts for Mobo’s Bicycle Repair Program for neighborhood youth ($2,500). New this year is support of Happen‘s new event entitled “Northside’s Mini 4th of July Parade” ($1,725).

Additionally, the Northside Business Association (NBA) received $980 for safety lighting sorely needed for Cluxton Alley for decades, which will improve safety in our business district for business owners, customers and residents.

If you like what we support, why not support the Northside Community Fund on a monthly basis of $10 or with a one-time annual donation? The larger our $242,000 endowment grows, the more NCF has to annually distribute! Please give now.
