Northside’s Business District is special in that it is almost exclusively owned and operated by local residents, including the employees supported by them. If you’re able, please place an order from one or some of them, or inquire about purchasing gift certificates for future use, which enables some cash flow for now to float them til the gathering restrictions are lifted. Read on for specifics, which will be updated as much as we can stay on top of them.

VULNERABLE COMMUNITY AT LARGE

CAIN-Churches Active In Northside assists Northside residents who are low-income and under-resourced with food, personal care items, and more. Primarily serving people in the 45223 ZIP code however anyone can visit the pantry.

• CAIN’s Rainbow Choice Food Pantry helps to increase access to healthy, high-quality, and safe food, personal care items and other necessities to people in need. Pantry guests now have to remain outside the building. Numbers will be distributed and guests will receive prepackaged bags of food like they would normally receive from the pantry. Pantry will remain open during normal pantry hours, MON 5pm-7pm & TUE+THU 10am-1pm.

• Phil’s Place free community weekly dinner provides carry out meals on Mondays at 5pm.

• Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County offers digital resources that can be accessed anywhere and anytime with your library card, including e-books, podcasts, at-home learning resources, and so much more. NORTHSIDE FARMERS MARKET

• Northside Farmers Market is still open every WEDNESDAY 4pm-7pm, outside behind NorthChurch, 4222 Hamilton Ave. Several vendors sell eggs, meat, produce, prepared foods, and more. NFM is taking extra precautions to maintain the safety of both customers and vendors. When you visit, you are encouraged to use the hand-washing station often, and maintain a distance of 6 feet from your neighbors and vendors aided by X’s on the ground. Vendors disinfect their tables often and use hand sanitizer or gloves between each customer. There is now a pre-order website to make shopping at the market even faster. PET + GARDEN + PLANT STUFF

• Growing Trade Pet and Plant is open for walk-ins, curbside pickup, and delivery, TUE-SUN 11am-7pm. Please wear a face covering if you enter the shop, masks are also available for $1 (at cost). Also, please no groups, and observe social distancing. For those who want to limit close contact, please order through their website: www.growingtradestore.com. Don’t see what you need? Pickup in the courtyard is free, delivery will be subject to a small fee ($2 in Northside, $3 Clifton & College Hill) with a $10 minimum order.

• Blue Jay Restaurant is now open MON-SAT 8am-3:30pm for dine-in again, check their Facebook page for the day’s special, and call ahead to place an order if you prefer to carry-out, 513-541-0847.

• Boswell’s Cincinnati is now open TUE-SUN 11am-10pm, kitchen closes at 9pm. Limited seating is available so all parties will be limited to 10 people or fewer, and must remain seated unless using the restroom or leaving. Patio dining and carry-out is also available. • Bridges Nepali Cuisine is open for outdoor seating on the back patio, carry-out orders, and delivery within a 4-mile radius of the restaurant, order online at www.bridgesnepalicuisine.com, or call 513-374-9354.

• Chameleon Pizza is open KITCHEN – 4pm-10pm, BAR – 5pm-10pm, requiring masks and checks temperatures at the door; credit/debit cards only. • Junker’s Tavern is open MON-FRI 11am-4pm, capacity will be held to 25 people in the bar at one time, and masks are required upon entry, followed by a temperature scan and use of hand sanitizer. • The Listing Loon: Wine/Booze/Live Music is open for wine, sake, and beer carryout TUE-FRI 3pm-8pm, SAT 12pm-8pm, SUN 12pm-5pm.
