The Northside Business Association thanks everyone who supported the Rock-n-Roll Festival this year. The NBA hosts the music festival as a way of celebrating everything Northside, alongside the historic Northside Community Council 4th of July Parade.
This tag-team effort would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers from both organizations being very generous with sharing their time, energy, and love for Northside.
There is an army of volunteers who make up the collective whole, but we are specifically calling out Becky Finnigan and Sara Birkofer, the captains of the NCC parade committee, with support from NCC President, Bree Moss. NBA Board Member Melanie Quallen (owner of The Loon) led the charge along with consultant Aaron Madrigal (Cincinnati musician and owner of Cincinnative) who organized and produced the music festival for NBA. We all owe them a huge THANK YOU.
Both organizations have won in this tag-team effort. It truly represents all that Northside can be.
For a little icing on the cake, the NBA would like to offer congratulations to Visionaries and Voices, who are the benefactor of the generous “tip jars” at the Music Festival this year. For the past three years, the NBA has donated the total of the festival tip jars to nonprofits that we especially recognize for their important service to the community.
Planned Parenthood and Caracole each received approximately $3,000 in the past, and we are thrilled to announce that Visionaries Voices has received a check for $4,996.63!!!!
Established in 2003, V+V is a nonprofit organization that provides creative, professional and educational opportunities to more than 125 visual artists with disabilities.
Artists working at V+V actively contribute to the greater arts community through creative, educational, and strategic partnerships with local and regional artists, schools, and business leaders. Collectively, V+V is growing a more inclusive arts community in Greater Cincinnati.
Three cheers to all tippers, and congratulations to all Northsiders who make our little neighborhood a great place to live, shop and play!
