The Northside Business Association thanks everyone involved in the Northside Rock N Roll Carnival this year, from the organizers to the (many) volunteers, from the vendors and performers to the attendees. The NBA hosts this annual music festival as a way of celebrating everything Northside, alongside the historic Northside Community Council 4th of July Parade.

Every year, volunteers staff the merchandise booth at the carnival. Together, they pool all their tips to make a large donation to a community-based nonprofit organization. In recent years, these donations have supported Visionaries + Voices, Planned Parenthood and Caracole.

In 2025, the recipient organization of the generous carnival “tip jars” is Cincinnati Animal Care, Hamilton County’s only animal shelter, dedicated to serving people and pets through lifesaving, compassionate, and community-centered care. Cincy CARE assumed responsibility for Hamilton County animal services in 2020, becoming the state’s first open-admission municipal shelter committed to the humane no-kill philosophy.

This year’s tip jar fundraiser was our most generous yet, totaling $8,337.27 to help this Northside-based organization continue its lifesaving work on behalf of Hamilton County’s homeless animals. Congratulations, and thanks especially to this year’s generous tippers–YOU!

Cincy CARE, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, provides temporary care to thousands of animals annually through dedication, hard work, and compassionate care. So far in 2025, the nonprofit has taken in 2,380 dogs and 1,536 cats, and the care of these animals relies on a hard-working staff as well as a network of volunteers who foster, donate and sponsor animals. Cincy CARE is always accepting donations and volunteer applications.

A special shoutout to puppers Ottoman (cuddling on a lap) and Glinda (posing in the front). These great dogs quickly stole the NBA team’s hearts and, as of 24 Jul 2025, they are available for adoption. You can meet them at the 3949 Colerain Ave. location!

Three cheers to all tippers, and congratulations to all Northsiders who make our little neighborhood a great place to live, shop and play!
