What is A Gentle Evening? It’s a friendly gathering that highlights an artist as a person more than just a performer. The trajectory of the show is left entirely to them, focused on their choosing. It is a chance for artists and small audiences to interact in a casual, impactful way- divergent from the traditional expectations of performance. No two gentle evenings are the same, as they reflect the interests, perspective, and personality of those whom they honor. No openers, no bar sales, no cover charge, no distraction, no pressure.

“okay, yeah, cool… but what are we going to see?” – That’s a fair question. Maybe original music. Maybe original words. Maybe slideshow. Maybe group conversation. Maybe home movies. Maybe a favorite book. Maybe a favorite record. Maybe a manifesto. Maybe a charcuterie board. Maybe a woodworking project. Maybe a funny story. Maybe an act of sincere vulnerability.
