Yoga for Trauma Resolution: Mining the Shadows with Confidence

We all experience trauma. Often our bodies can assimilate and alchemize our life experiences. However, when our experiences are intense, and our body’s physical systems lack the strength to do this fully, we back-log these unprocessed experiences in the actual tissues of our body. This is generally known as our personal “trauma”, and it can (and does) alter our physical, psychological, intellectual, and emotional expression of self in the broader world. Join us as we explore the ways in which trauma impacts our bodies and our life and learn yoga practices that will us integrate all of our life experience.
This 6-week workshop will investigate the:
Neurophysiology of trauma
Emotional regulation and resiliency
Dissociation and trauma processing
How trauma is held in the body and how to re-develop an integral relationship with the body post-traumatic experience
6 weeks of yoga practices to help us digest and assimilate ALL of the experiences of our life.
