August 19. 2017.\n10pm-2am.\nFREE. 21+. \nThe first collaborative effort by two of Cincinnati’s alternative hip hop pioneers\, Abiyah + Evolve\, ‘Boom’ inspires overcoming obstacles through self-motivation and self-improvement…with a unique and melodic fury.  \nOffered on high-quality chrome cassingle (cassette single) in two versions\, one produced by Oakland-based DJ HALO (with post-production rhythm cuts by DJ Rare Groove)\, the other produced by St. Petersburg\, Russia-based Possible Address\, with additional production by Evolve. SUMMARY:MoBo Kids' Day Race!
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the culmination of our Kids’ Day summer program to celebrate another successful summer. This year\, over 100 kids have left MoBo with a sense of ownership\, responsibility\, and community—nearly triple our output from last year. \nMoBo’s Kids’ Day program offers local kids the opportunity to repair\, maintain\, and build bicycles with one-on-one guidance from experienced mechanics. Once a week\, we open our shop\, its tools\, and our volunteer mechanics’ expertise exclusively to the servicing of kids’ bikes.  Participation in Kids’ Day is free for all youth members.  Additionally\, MoBo collects donated bicycles and matches them with kids who need bikes. Mechanics work with each new owner to make repairs and adjustments as necessary. Helmets are also distributed free of charge.  \nCommunity organizations and individuals have given their support through donations as well as their time and resources to enrich our youths’ experience by partnering with Kids’ Day to provide artistic\, cultural\, and academic activities. Partners this year included WordPlay Cincy\, Civic Garden Center\, Dramakinetics\, Happen Inc.\, Tom Sparrough (The Space Painter)\, Mel Fickenscher\, Indigo Hippo\, Children’s Hospital\, Spun\, Groundwork Cincinnati\, and Lord’s Gym.

Queen City Imperial Soundsystem lays down the reggae vinyl vibes\, from the mid-70s through the mid-00s\, for your dancing pleasure! There ARE a few barstools\, tables and a bench in the basement if you need to take a quick break from dancing\, but you can also head upstairs for a breather where there is plenty of seating in the bar and dining/music room area. \nFor the uninitiated\, here’s a rundown on how we run tings on Basement Reggae Night: around 10pm (this month only\, all other months 10:30pm)\, we start a little slower with some smooth riddims so you can chill and get settled in to your vibe. Around 11:00ish\, we begin to pick up the pace with some of your favorite uptempo DANCEHALL classics. By midnight\, we’re on full blast with the DANCEHALL vibes until we shut down at 2am. \nTO GET TO THE BASEMENT\, walk straight past the bar and sink on the left and you will see an open door with a Reggae Night flyer that leads to the steps that go downstairs.

He suffered a traumatic brain injury and partial paralysis as a result. Having been in the hospital\, and now rehab for the last 6 weeks\, he and his family are\, understandably\, very financially stressed and could use some assistance. C’s progress has been slow but promising\, and he’ll soon be released from rehab. In the meantime his wife Chanta\, amidst vigilantly caring for him\, has also been busy securing a new home across town that will be more conducive to the myriad requirements necessary for guiding C toward a full recovery. Needless to say\, Chanta and her family’s regular income has suffered dramatically during such a difficult time. So let’s all help them out! and let’s help C get back on his feet! \nXO

They came to rock.\nWith major festival dates already behind them\, a killer album in their pocket and and the likelihood of even broader acclaim just around the corner\, for Future Thieves the horizon line has no limits at all. \n/// Hello Luna ///  \nHello Luna is an alternative-rock band that blends smooth pop vocals with varying dynamics of indie-rock instrumentation. The concept of Hello Luna began when Kenzie Coyne (lead vocals/rhythm guitar) was recording demos and was introduced to session-drummer Michael Neumaier. After several months of preparation\, Kenzie decided to make the move from solo-artist to a full band. This is when the band found Diego Villasmil (bass). Each member has been musically involved in separate projects over the last 10 years\, but it was all solidified as of January 2016. The band’s first release “Stitching Holes” was a demo with the pure intention of introducing the sonic concept of the band\, but it received a great reception by being played on radio station CD1025 along with write ups from the Columbus Dispatch and online blog site TunedUp. On March 11th\, 2017 they played to a sold out crowd at The Basement (a PromoWest Productions venue) celebrating the physical release of their first EP called “Ghost Of You” in which contains the band’s first radio single called “Sound and Sorrow”. \n/// Talk Mouth ///  \nWhat started as a solo project by Aaron Disney\, around 5 years ago\, quickly developed into a full band in late 2016 after coming together to play a couple of gigs. Now\, with their first full length\, DIY album\, released just 6 months after forming\, Talk Mouth is making waves with their unique sound and thought-provoking lyrics.
