Afterwards we will take a break to center ourselves through a guided mediation to cultivate nourishment from the inside out as well! \nCo-Facilitated by Nia Bauke + Kara Pierson \nNia Baucke is the founder of local skincare brand Cypress Skin & Beauty. A communications strategist by day\, Nia’s passion for skincare came from her personal journey of looking to find clean and natural solutions to her acneic and oily skin. Cypress offers group self-care experiences through its DIY Skincare Bar and will be launching its first product in the winter of 2017. Cypress’ goal is to spread the joy of skin care as self-care and develop conscious and confident consumers. \nKara Pierson is the Director of Events and Hospitality at The Hive. After earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Xavier University\, she started practicing meditation as a way to cope with the stress of adulting and student loans but found that it transformed how she interacted with the world. She is currently enrolled in the Meditation Teacher Certification Program at Yoga on High Ayurveda Institute. Her mission is to make meditation techniques accessible so that they may be used as a practical approach to to both mental and physical health.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at PAR-Projects for A Burning: Community Campfire. \nA Burning is a community gathering centered around a bonfire fueled both by wood and a potent manifestation of letting go. Everyone is encouraged to bring artifacts that represent something that they would like to let go of—letters\, notes\, lists\, photos\, simple objects\, anything with meaning that won’t create toxic fumes when burned\, because that’s the idea: we symbolically remove the things we want to get past by watching them disappear in the fire. And\, if we’d like to\, we share with the group why and what we’re burning—catharsis is more palpable when shared.  \nThere will be typewriters on site for the preparation of burnable thoughts.
