Show closes June 1\,2018.   \nThe four artists whose works make up “Pre-Existing Condition” have diverse styles and practices that give the exhibit energy and insight. Blake Clark is 19 and lives in Northern Kentucky and often uses product packaging and shopping bags to ink his self-described “cheesy heavy metal fantasies. Like Clark\, Dion Hitching (who lives in New Jersey) draws on wrappers and deconstructed boxes\, creating classy and invigorating portraits out of a throwaway culture’s refuse. Amy Castelino\, originally from India\, now lives in Cincinnati\, and repurposes plastic grocery bags into beautifully fashioned mats and pillows that she never sells but gives to people in need. (Castelino will be leading a “how-to” session at Thunder-Sky\, Inc. during the course of the show.) Finally\, Tracy Featherstone\, a professor of art at Miami University in Oxford\, Ohio\, re-envisions the notion of ceramics and landscapes through her works\, merging fragments and figments of clay and other materials in order to question the difference between the tactile and the pretend.

Adam\, a classically-trained pianist and percussionist\, composes by way of energetic improvisation\, expressive vocalization\, and meditation on the repetition of loops. \nOriginally a solo\, loop-based songwriting effort\, ADM has expanded to incorporate drummer / producer Ben Sloan [WHY? / Lazy Heart / Naytronix]\, and guitarist / bassist Stephen Patota [The Happy Maladies / Lazy Heart / Naytronix].
